Brussels, April 2nd – The General Assembly of 2 April 2026 marks an important milestone for the Cyber Security Coalition. After presiding the organisation for 10 years, Jan De Blauwe is handing over the mandate of Chair to Karine Goris.
Celebrating Jan De Blauwe’s Legacy
Under his presidency, the Coalition experienced remarkable growth and transformation. The community connecting researchers, businesses, and public-sector organisations expanded to over 200 members, strengthening Belgium’s cybersecurity ecosystem. In the past 10 years, the association professionalised, which has led to the increasing engagement of members through numerous events and activities, and a continuous improvement of the quality of this engagement. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic the Cyber Security Coalition ensured continuity and resilience. The organisation has created, among others, two landmark events: the annual BE-CYBER convention and Belgium’s Cyber Security Awards, which have become established values in the Belgian cybersecurity landscape.
Jan’s vision and commitment have left an enduring mark on the Coalition and the broader community.
“It has been an honour to serve as Chair of the Cyber Security Coalition. Together, we have built a strong and vibrant community that stands as a cornerstone of Belgium’s cybersecurity resilience. I am proud of what we achieved and confident that the Coalition will continue to thrive under Karine’s leadership.” – Jan De Blauwe
