ISACA Belgium and the Cyber Security Coalition strengthen their collaboration to enhance cybersecurity in Belgium

We celebrate! Five years ago, the Cyber Security Coalition, in partnership with ISACA Belgium and supported by the Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management (SBS), launched the GRC: Be Connected! event to create a dedicated platform for policy makers, risk managers, and compliance professionals to exchange knowledge and best practices. What began in 2021 as a fully virtual event—born out of necessity in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic—has since flourished into a thriving community of GRC experts from the Coalition, ISACA Belgium, and SBS students and alumni. Thanks to this partnership, our members now have access to ISACA’s extensive methodologies, standards, and guidelines, helping them navigate today’s complex regulatory landscape with confidence. In 2025, we proudly celebrate the fifth edition of this event—our Lustrum edition. We invite you to engage, exchange, and be inspired as we continue building a stronger, more resilient GRC community.

Brussels, 27 March 2025 – For the past five years, ISACA Belgium and the Cyber Security Coalition have successfully collaborated on numerous events, including GRC: Be Connected!, an annual gathering that brings together over a hundred participants to discuss governance, risk management, and compliance. This initiative has also provided a platform for renowned global experts to engage with the Belgian community on the challenges of establishing and maintaining trust in the digital world.

Additionally, ISACA Belgium plays a key role in Belgium’s Cyber Security Awards, a Coalition initiative, serving as a jury and task force member, thus contributing to the recognition of best practices and outstanding professionals in the field.

A strengthened partnership for greater impact

Today, we are proud to announce that this collaboration is entering a new phase, aiming to bring even more value to the members of both organisations.

ISACA Belgium commits to:

Sharing its expertise in IT governance, audit, risk management, compliance, cybersecurity, and data protection.

Providing knowledge on ISACA certifications, frameworks, and resources to help Belgian professionals improve their cybersecurity practices.

Enhancing collaboration and networking among Belgian industries to promote a strong and sustainable cybersecurity culture.

Actively participating in the Coalition’s initiatives and events to educate and train economic and institutional stakeholders on cybersecurity challenges.

We are very proud to strengthen our partnership with the Cyber Security Coalition. Over the past five years, our complementary expertise has proven highly valuable, and our collaboration has had a significant impact on the Belgian cybersecurity ecosystem. With more than 850 IT professionals engaged in ISACA Belgium, this alliance has allowed us to learn, exchange, and actively contribute to protecting Belgium’s digital landscape. By sharing our knowledge on ISACA certifications, frameworks, and resources, we support the Coalition’s mission and help professionals in the sector reach a higher level of maturity.” — Egide Nzabonimana, President of ISACA Belgium

“We’re thrilled to expand our partnership with ISACA Belgium, driving a shared mission for a more secure world. With 1,400+ security professionals, 200 member organisations, and 70+ events annually, this collaboration boosts opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and certification—empowering ISACA members throughout their careers.” – Henk Dujardin, CEO of the Cyber Security Coalition.

This strengthened partnership marks a significant step forward for cybersecurity in Belgium, with tangible benefits in terms of training, knowledge-sharing, and the adoption of international best practices.

About the Belgian Cyber Security Coalition

The mission of the Cyber Security Coalition is to bolster Belgium’s cyber security resilience by building a strong cyber security ecosystem. More than 1,200 representatives of our 200 member organizations participate in our activities and as such contribute to our mission.
