🌟 Highlights from the Annual General Assembly of the Coalition, 27 March 2025! 🌟
We are excited to share key highlights from last week’s Annual General Assembly, chaired by Jan De Blauwe:
🏆 Management Report: Our Chair provided an in-depth summary of the outstanding accomplishments and key milestones we achieved in 2024: Record attendance at the BE-CYBER Experience Sharing Day, EDUBox Data & Privacy, the revamp of our website and Cyber Pulse newsletter, just to name a few.
💼 Financial Insights: The Chair provided a detailed analysis of the 2024 financials, highlighting the responsible management of resources. Thanks to the support of our members, we continue to drive meaningful change, maintaining strong financial health.
📊 Budget for 2025: Looking ahead, the Chair presented the association’s budget for the current year, ensuring that every euro is allocated strategically to maximise impact as we work toward our shared goals and aspirations. The forecast small negative result is caused by the one-time successful 10th anniversary celebration, which took place on February 20th.
📆 Outlook 2025: The Chair reviewed the major activities planned for this year: The lustrum editions of GRC: Be Connected! and Belgium’s Cyber Security Awards, the Application Security experience sharing day and our flagship BE-CYBER event. He solicited the members’ support for two important surveys: a Belgian Cyber Study soon to be launched by KMPG in partnership with the Coalition and a member satisfaction survey in cooperation with Profacts.
🤝 New Appointments: Two remarkable individuals have been appointed to our Board of Directors, offering their valuable expertise and enthusiasm. Welcome aboard Catherine Van de Heyning (Prosecutor’s Office / University of Antwerp) and Xavier Paulus (Solvay).
🚀 Extension of Existing Mandates: The mandates of Chair Jan De Blauwe (NVISO), Vice-Chair Phédra Clouner (Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium), Nathalie Ragheno (VBO FEB), Séverine Waterbley (FPS Economy, SMEs, Middle Classes & Energy) were extended for another three-year period.
Many thanks to our accounts’ controller Montens Benoît (Assuralia) who finished his three-year-mandate and will be succeeded by Jan Populaire (Psybersafe).
