Personal data are everywhere. You would be surprised how many personal data you handle as part of your work. We send and save personal data in our mailboxes, on apps, in the cloud, etc. every day.
Just like other data, personal data are vulnerable to loss, theft or a violation of the confidentiality requirement. The GDPR has been in force since 25 of May 2018. This European legislation requires that all enterprises and organizations take the necessary measures to protect personal data.
Everyone is involved
Data protection is the responsibility of your company or organization. However, you can also make a significant contribution as an employee. By correctly dealing with personal data, you protect others and help your organization preserve its good reputation. Treat the personal data of others as you would want your own data to be treated.
With the “GDPR – Data clean-up” campaign, the Cyber Security Coalition would like to encourage everyone to perform an efficient data clean-up, pursuant to the GDPR. By means of an animated film and a leaflet you will discover the importance of a data clean-up and how to proceed.
